Wild Things: Paddling in DuPage County

Gain a new perspective on nature when you kayak or canoe on the lakes, rivers and streams in DuPage County forest preserves. Traveling on the water provides a different perspective and allows you to see things that you might not otherwise see on a trail. The East and West Branch DuPage Rivers and Salt Creek offer some great kayaking adventures, as do Mallard Lake, Silver Lake, Round Meadow Lake and Herrick Lake. At Herrick Lake, boaters much rent kayaks or canoes and cannot bring their own.

District ranger Adam Carlson talks about some of the best spots to kayak in DuPage forest preserves, and offers tips for a safe and fun adventure, on Wild Things on WDCB Radio (90.9 FM).
