Trail Patrol

Trail Patrol Volunteers get to enjoy biking or walking through DuPage County forest preserves while providing information and assistance to visitors. Trail Patrol Volunteers may receive training on bicycle safety and learn answers to frequently asked questions about the Forest Preserve District. Pairs of volunteers traverse the most popular trails in DuPage County. In addition to answering questions, volunteers may distribute trail maps and communicate adverse conditions and emergencies to the District’s Office of Law Enforcement.

PURPOSE
The purpose of Volunteer Services Program at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is to engage volunteers who are willing to donate their time, talents and resources to support the programs and staff in carrying out the mission, purpose, and guiding principles of the
Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and the volunteer programs. 

Bike Patrol

Patrol the District's trails on a bicycle and ensure the safety of preserve visitors, resources and facilities.

Foot Patrol

Patrol the District's trails on foot and ensure the safety of preserve visitors, resources and facilities.
