Golfers and advocates of education are invited to join the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County as it hosts the fifth-annual "Right at Your Feet" Fundraiser at its Oak Meadows Golf & Banquets facility in Addison on Thursday, June 26.

Your participation will help raise funds to benefit the Forest Preserve District's "Leave No Child Inside" initiative to help connect kids to nature.

"This outing will offer people not only a great way to enjoy a day of golf at Oak Meadows but also a way to help further the District's award-winning educational programming," said D. "Dewey" Pierotti Jr., the president of the District's Board of Commissioners.

Prizes will be awarded to the championship and runner-up teams. Additional prizes will be offered through on-course events including a putting contest, a hit-the-green contest and more. A raffle and silent auction will offer even more exciting items.

Registration takes place through June 13 and costs $125 per person or $500 per foursome and includes greens fees, cart rental, social hour and dinner. Individual golfers will be placed on a team.

Participants can register at Oak Meadows at 900 N. Wood Dale Road in Addison between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily or at Forest Preserve District headquarters at 3S580 Naperville Road in Wheaton from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information on the event call (630) 933-7208.

In addition to participating as golfers, individuals and local businesses are invited to support the event by sponsoring holes, tee packs, carts or meals or by donating prizes and items for the raffle and silent auction.
